Lawyer Jim Balmforth and Attorney Jeremy Eveland Alimony Win in Court!

It took several months of work, preparation, time, and skill, but West Jordan Attorney Jim Balmforth, along with Jeremy Eveland and the staff of Eveland & Associates were able to win an alimony award for their client.

"In most cases" said lawyer Jim Balmforth, "you have to win on paper first and then win in the courtroom... that's what we did in this case."

Congratulations to Mr. Balmforth and the Eveland Law Firm team on their win!

Attorney Jeremy Eveland and West Jordan Lawyer Jared Pearson on Change of Custody

If The Parent Who Has Custody Was Not Spending Enough Time With The Child, Would The Other Parent Be Able To File For A Review Of The Custody?
They would definitely need to contact an attorney at that point. Based on the history and what they had done in the past, it would be advisable for them to file a petition if they wanted to move forward so they could enforce their rights.
Anytime you need to change custody, there has to be a reason for the change.
In your life, in your specific circumstances, ask yourself what has changed:  Has someone moved?  Has someone obtained a new job?  Has a child changed schools?  Has a child been bullied at school and needs a change?
Whatever the change is, you should contact an attorney to discuss the change.
You can call Jared Pearson or Jeremy Eveland for a free initial consultation at 801-676-5506 when you are ready for additional parent-time or to change visitation.

Lawyer Jeremy Eveland Results for Client [Criminal Law]

On Friday, April 17, 2015, we obtained a great result for our client in a criminal case.  Let me give you some background.

Our client was charged with forgery, a class 3 felony in the State of Utah.

There was issues regarding having multiple identities.  I reviewed all of the discovery and information that had been complied by law enforcement.  The case would have been difficult to try. There was also some good information and evidence that could be used to our client's benefit.

We were able to obtain a plea in abeyance for our client.

There was no jail time served.

There was no fine imposed.

There was the requirement to attend a thinking errors class.

There was the requirement of 60 hours of community service.

There was the requirement to obey the law and have no other charges brought.

One year of probation with the possibility of early termination and closure of the case.

Once the case is closed, and the charges dismissed, after successful completion; then I will be able to help our client expunge her record.

This was a great result for our client.
